- American Licorice Co.’s Red Vines® candy facility is honored with WRAP of the Year award by the California Integrated Waste Management Board.

- Sour Punch® brand gets a bold new look
- American Licorice Co.’s Red Vines® candy facility is honored with WRAP of the Year award by the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
2005
- Company establishes a new plant in Indiana and a research facility near Chicago.
- Red Vines® brand is featured on Food Network’s popular show Unwrapped.
- Red Vines® brand is featured in the Saturday Night Live skit, “Lazy Sunday”, which becomes an internet sensation in 2006.
- American Licorice Co.’s Red Vines® candy facility is honored with WRAP of the Year award by the California Integrated Waste Management Board.

- American Licorice Co. turns 90 Years Old!
- The “Justice League” from DC Comics promotes the Sour Punch® brand.

- Red Vines® brand bursts with a new look.

- Restructuring and implementation of Lean Manufacturing begins.
- Red Vines® brand expands to include Fruit Vines in delicious flavors like Purple Grape, Green Watermelon, and Blue Raspberry.
- Sour Punch® brand expands to include Chili Punch in exotic flavors like Mango and Zesty Tamarind. Twisty Punch is introduced.
2001
- Shrek – the Oscar-winning, animated, smash film from DreamWorks – features Sour Punch® candy in its promotions.
