Chris and his son Dillan on the first day of school at Indian Trail Elementary

Wow, my son’s first day was really cool this year. I work at American Licorice Co., and I was able to take time off work on my son’s first day back to school.  Dillan attends Indian Trail Elementary and was one of the lucky students who received a back pack loaded with everything he needed to start school, thanks to American Licorice Co. and the Kids In Need Foundation. I went to school and was able to see him open up his backpack and see all the cool stuff inside. I have never worked for a company that did so many good things for the community and especially kids.

Did you know that for every $1 donated, the Kid in Need Foundation is able to purchase $32 worth of school supplies?

I’m glad to see that there is still companies that don’t mind giving back a little bit where it helps out the most.
