Dollars for Volunteers

To deepen our engagement with the community through volunteerism, American Licorice associates can now apply for charitable contributions to organizations that associates volunteer at outside of work hours.  The amount of contribution is based on the number of hours volunteered, effectively a dollar match for volunteering hours.

Key Benefits of Dollars for Volunteers:

• Promote associate support of the community.  Increases resources to the organization—funding plus time.
• Provide a process to track associate volunteerism outside of working hours.
• Provide a way for employees to contribute cash without taking it from their own pocket.
• Answer the challenge of not wanting to take off work time to volunteer, since the program rewards on associate’s own time.
